Cleopatra is the historical queen allied with Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins.
The game is set in Ptolemaic Egypt during the first century BCE. Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay, becomes involved in the conflict between Cleopatra and her brother Ptolemy XIII, who are competing for control of Egypt.
Cleopatra seeks Bayek's help against the secretive Order of the Ancients, whose members influence political and military power throughout the country. The story uses real historical figures while adding fictional characters and events around them.
Cleopatra is not the sole ruler throughout the whole game. Her political position changes during the civil conflict, and the Roman general Julius Caesar also becomes a major figure in the narrative. Nefertiti belongs to a much earlier period of Egyptian history.
