Which historical period is depicted in Assassin's Creed Syndicate?
Answer
Victorian era
Answer
Victorian era
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set during the Victorian era.
The game takes place mainly in London in 1868, near the end of the Industrial Revolution. Twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye fight Templar influence while trying to weaken the gangs and institutions controlling the city. Their activities take them through districts shaped by factories, railways, crowded housing, and expanding technology.
Syndicate includes historical figures such as Queen Victoria, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, and Alexander Graham Bell. The game introduced vehicles such as carriages and trains as important tools for travel and missions. Victorian London is later revisited in the downloadable content Jack the Ripper, which is set in 1888. The setting is therefore later than the Renaissance of Assassin's Creed II and earlier than the modern-day portions of the franchise.
