Which historical figure is the playable protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Liberation?
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Aveline de Grandpré is the playable protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Liberation.
Aveline is a French-African Assassin active in 18th-century New Orleans and the surrounding Louisiana territory. The game was originally released for PlayStation Vita in 2012 as a companion title to Assassin’s Creed III and later received versions for other platforms.
Her story explores colonial society, slavery, commerce, and the political conflicts surrounding Louisiana. Aveline’s parentage and social position allow the narrative to examine several communities while she works against Templar influence and threats to enslaved people.
A distinctive feature of Liberation is Aveline’s use of different disguises. Her Assassin, Lady, and Slave personas provide different access and abilities, although each also imposes restrictions. Élise de la Serre is from Assassin’s Creed Unity, Shao Jun is from Chronicles: China, and Evie Frye is from Syndicate.
