“Look at Your Game, Girl” is the hidden track on Guns N’ Roses’ The Spaghetti Incident? The band recorded it as a cover of a song written and originally performed by Charles Manson.

The song was left off advance tapes sent to reviewers, preserving the surprise when the album was released in 1993. It appears as a hidden track rather than as a normally listed selection, following the album’s credited covers of punk and hard-rock songs.

Manson originally recorded “Look at Your Game, Girl” for his 1970 album Lie: The Love and Terror Cult. Axl Rose had been introduced to that record and supported including the cover, while the band’s version uses a subdued lounge-style arrangement with acoustic guitar and congas.

Its presence caused controversy because of Manson’s role as a cult leader and convicted murderer. Rose said he intended to donate performance royalties from the song to an environmental nonprofit, while David Geffen later said the track’s inclusion was deeply offensive to many listeners.
