Which Harry Potter book did J.K. Rowling publish in 2007?

The story behind the answer

J.K. Rowling published Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 2007. It is the seventh and final novel in the original Harry Potter series, appearing in the United Kingdom and United States on 21 July 2007.

The book follows Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they leave Hogwarts to search for Horcruxes and challenge Lord Voldemort. It also reveals the history of the Deathly Hallows, three legendary magical objects: the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak.

The final novel was adapted into two films, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2, released in 2010 and 2011. That split can lead to confusion about whether the story itself contains two books. It does not: the original series has seven novels, with the seventh receiving a two-part film adaptation.
