Paul Molitor represented the Twins at the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams Game after recording his 3,000th hit in a Minnesota uniform.
Molitor was among the Hall of Famers attending the pregame ceremony. Although he spent his first 15 seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, he reached the 3,000-hit milestone while wearing a Twins uniform, making him a particularly strong link between Minnesota’s franchise history and baseball’s broader historical record.
The ceremony included legends associated with both participating clubs. Joe Mauer and Bert Blyleven also represented the Twins, while Jim Kaat had a connection to both teams because he spent his early career in Minnesota and later pitched for Philadelphia.
Molitor’s presence illustrated how the event was designed to celebrate baseball history rather than only the current matchup. The game brought active players, former stars and Hall of Famers together at the Iowa site made famous by the film.
