Stop Drop and Roll!!! was the project’s debut studio album. It became available digitally on April 22, 2008, followed by a CD release on May 20. The record’s sound leans toward 1960s garage rock and rock and roll rather than Green Day’s usual pop-punk presentation.

A common mix-up is confusing Foxboro Hot Tubs with Green Day’s other side projects, The Network and Pinhead Gunpowder. The album also began as a six-song digital EP in 2007, while the later full-length version contained 12 songs.
