Which Ghibli film features the character Pazu?

The Ghibli film featuring the character Pazu is Castle in the Sky. Pazu is the young mechanic and one of the film’s two central protagonists, alongside the mysterious girl Sheeta.

Released in 1986, Castle in the Sky was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Isao Takahata. Pazu lives in a mining town and dreams of proving that the legendary floating island of Laputa exists, following a photograph taken by his late father. His life changes when Sheeta falls from the sky and lands near him, protected by the magical power of her crystal pendant.

The pair are pursued by government agent Muska, the army, and the sky-pirate crew led by Dola. Their adventure eventually takes them to Laputa, where the film explores the relationship between technology, nature, and human ambition. Castle in the Sky was the first film animated by Studio Ghibli, and its flying machines and retro-industrial design helped make it an important influence on steampunk-inspired animation.
