Louis Vuitton partnered with Supreme on a major streetwear collaboration in 2017.
The collection joined Supreme’s New York skateboarding identity with Louis Vuitton’s luxury leather-goods heritage. It included clothing, bags, accessories and footwear, often combining Supreme’s box logo with Louis Vuitton’s monogram pattern. The collaboration was presented during Louis Vuitton’s menswear show in Paris.
The partnership was notable because it crossed the traditional boundary between luxury fashion and streetwear. It also followed an earlier legal dispute over Supreme-related use of Louis Vuitton’s monogram, making the eventual collaboration especially striking to fashion observers.
The collection is often dated to 2017, although some related events and releases occurred around the same fashion season. It should not be confused with Supreme’s later collaborations with other luxury brands. Louis Vuitton is the fashion house associated with this landmark partnership.
