Which fragrance brand released Light Blue in 2001?
Answer
Dolce & Gabbana
Answer
Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana released Light Blue in 2001.
Light Blue was created for Dolce & Gabbana by perfumer Olivier Cresp. The women’s edition became one of the brand’s most recognizable fragrances, particularly through its association with bright Mediterranean imagery, warm weather, and Italian coastal style.
Its commonly cited notes include Sicilian lemon, apple, cedar, bamboo, white rose, jasmine, amber, and musk. The overall effect is fresh, crisp, and lightly woody rather than heavily sweet or opulent. A matching men’s edition followed in 2007, created by Alberto Morillas, and became a major part of the Light Blue family.
The name can cause confusion because Light Blue refers to more than one product within the line. Later flankers and limited editions have added different names and compositions. The original women’s Light Blue is the 2001 launch, while Light Blue Pour Homme is the related men’s fragrance introduced six years later.
