Sabathia was part of Netflix's broadcast team for the Philadelphia Phillies–Minnesota Twins matchup. Matt Vasgersian handled play-by-play, while Sabathia and Hunter Pence worked as analysts and Lauren Shehadi served as the field reporter.
CC Sabathia spent six seasons with the New York Yankees from 2009 through 2014. He won the 2009 World Series with New York and was a six-time All-Star during his Major League Baseball career. He also won the American League Cy Young Award with the Cleveland Indians in 2007.
The 2026 game marked Netflix's exclusive broadcast of the MLB Field of Dreams event. Earlier games in 2021 and 2022 were carried by Fox, with Joe Buck calling the inaugural contest and Joe Davis handling the 2022 broadcast. Philadelphia won the 2026 game 7–1 in Dyersville, Iowa.
