Comiskey Park inspired the design of the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams ballpark.
The Iowa facility pays homage to Comiskey Park, the historic Chicago White Sox home that operated from 1910 to 1990. Its design echoes the old stadium’s outfield shape and includes bullpens beyond the center-field fence.
The tribute connects the new Iowa venue to baseball history beyond the Field of Dreams film. Comiskey Park hosted generations of White Sox games and was known as one of the sport’s important early twentieth-century ballparks. The modern White Sox stadium opened nearby in 1991 and was later renamed Guaranteed Rate Field.
Guaranteed Rate Field is a plausible but incorrect answer because it is the White Sox’ current home in the modern era. The design reference was the older Comiskey Park, not the newer stadium. Windows in the Iowa ballpark’s right-field wall also provide views toward the original movie set and surrounding cornfields.
