Which former Kanto city is represented by Pokémon Pokopia’s Withered Wasteland?

The story behind the answer

Pokémon Pokopia’s Withered Wasteland represents what was once Fuchsia City and its surroundings.

The area is the first place where Ditto awakens and meets Professor Tangrowth. It has been severely reshaped by major earthquakes and remains affected by a long-running drought, leaving the former temperate landscape dry and barren.

A major early objective is to restore the environment by finding a way to bring rain back. That restoration work establishes the game’s central pattern: players improve damaged places so that Pokémon can return and live there comfortably.

The other base-game areas draw on different Kanto settlements. Bleak Beach corresponds to Vermilion City, Rocky Ridges to Pewter City, and Sparkling Skylands to sections of Saffron City. Palette Town is a separate trio of islands and should not be confused with the similarly named Pallet Town from the traditional Pokémon games.
