Which former Dragon's Den investor was the founder of the lingerie retailer Ultimo?

The story behind the answer

Michelle Mone was the founder of the lingerie retailer Ultimo and later became a Dragon's Den investor.

Mone established Ultimo in 1996 after identifying an opportunity for attractive, supportive lingerie with a distinctive design. The brand became especially associated with its cleavage-enhancing bra and grew into an international lingerie business. Mone's success at Ultimo led to her public recognition as a Scottish entrepreneur.

She joined Dragon's Den for its fifteenth series in 2015, appearing as a guest Dragon rather than becoming a permanent replacement for the core panel. Her role is therefore often described as that of a former Dragon or guest investor.

Ultimo is sometimes confused with Boux Avenue, another lingerie brand linked to a Dragon. Boux Avenue was founded by Theo Paphitis, whereas Ultimo was founded by Mone. The two businesses have separate founders and brand histories.
