Which former Dragons' Den investor founded the logistics company Pall-Ex?

The story behind the answer

Former Dragons' Den investor Hilary Devey founded the logistics company Pall-Ex.

Devey established Pall-Ex in 1996 as a palletised freight distribution network. The business connected independent transport companies so they could move palletised goods across the UK through a shared network rather than operating entirely alone.

She joined the Dragons' Den panel in 2011 and appeared for two series. Her direct, commercially focused style made her one of the programme's recognisable investors, although she later left the main panel.

Pall-Ex is sometimes confused with Devey's later television and business activities, but it was the logistics network that established her reputation as an entrepreneur. The company subsequently developed international operations through associated networks.
