Bannatyne Group was founded by former Dragons' Den investor Duncan Bannatyne.
The company operates health clubs, spas and hotels under the Bannatyne name. It grew from Bannatyne’s business activities in care homes and leisure, becoming one of the recognisable brands connected with his entrepreneurial career.
Duncan Bannatyne was one of the programme’s most recognisable investors and was widely associated with blunt, direct deal-making. Bannatyne Group should not be confused with David Lloyd Clubs or PureGym: those are separate fitness businesses with different ownership histories and branding.
