Sinners won the 2026 Golden Globe for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners is a period horror film starring Michael B. Jordan in dual roles. Its story follows twin brothers who return to their Mississippi hometown and encounter a supernatural threat connected to music, history, and exploitation.
The Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category honors a film that combines broad audience impact with notable cinematic accomplishment. It is distinct from the traditional picture categories, which are divided by drama and musical or comedy.
Sinners also received the Golden Globe for Best Original Score, awarded to Ludwig Göransson. The film’s win therefore recognized both its overall theatrical impact and one of its major creative departments. It should not be confused with Best Motion Picture – Drama, which went to Hamnet.
