What Golden Globe award did Timothée Chalamet win in 2026 for Marty Supreme?

Timothée Chalamet won Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy for Marty Supreme at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Marty Supreme is a sports comedy-drama directed by Josh Safdie, with Chalamet playing a competitive table-tennis player. The performance earned recognition in the Golden Globes’ lead-acting category for musical or comedy films.

The category covers performances in feature films classified as musical or comedy, even when their stories include serious or dramatic elements. That genre distinction is why the award differs from the ceremony’s separate male-actor drama prize.

Chalamet’s victory was one of the ceremony’s leading film-acting results. The award was for his performance, while the film itself competed separately for picture and other craft honors.
