Which film won Best Screenplay at the 2026 Golden Globes through Paul Thomas Anderson?

One Battle After Another won Best Screenplay at the 2026 Golden Globes through Paul Thomas Anderson.

Anderson wrote and directed the film, a political action comedy inspired in part by the novel Vineland by Thomas Pynchon. The story follows former revolutionaries whose past returns to threaten their family and community.

The screenplay award recognized the film's writing, while Anderson also won Best Director for the same project. Those are separate Golden Globe categories: one honors the written work and the other honors the overall directing achievement.

One Battle After Another was the leading film winner at the 2026 ceremony, taking four Golden Globes in total. Its other victories included Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and a supporting acting award for Teyana Taylor.
