Which film introduced the USS Enterprise-E?
Answer
Star Trek: First Contact
Answer
Star Trek: First Contact
Star Trek: First Contact introduced the USS Enterprise-E.
The Enterprise-E is a Sovereign-class starship that replaces the Enterprise-D after that vessel is destroyed in Star Trek: Generations. It first appears in Star Trek: First Contact, which was released in 1996 and features Patrick Stewart’s Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The ship is sent to intercept a Borg fleet near Earth. During the battle, the Borg use temporal technology to travel into the past, and the Enterprise-E follows them to prevent an alteration of human history.
The Enterprise-E became the principal ship for the remaining Next Generation films. It appears again in Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis. The Enterprise-D should not be confused with it: the D is a Galaxy-class vessel seen throughout the television series and destroyed before the E enters service.
