Which film introduced the Jurassic World name to the franchise?

The story behind the answer

Jurassic World introduced the Jurassic World name to the franchise.

Released in 2015, Jurassic World is the fourth theatrical film in the series and the first to use “Jurassic World” as its title. It presents a fully operating dinosaur theme park on Isla Nublar, decades after the failure of the original Jurassic Park.

The film stars Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. Colin Trevorrow directed it, and the story centers on a genetically engineered hybrid dinosaur created to attract visitors whose expectations have grown increasingly extreme.

Jurassic World is both a sequel and a relaunch of the series. It retains characters, locations, and corporate history from the earlier films while introducing a new central cast. Its sequels are Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, released in 2018, and Jurassic World Dominion, released in 2022.
