Sinners earned Michael B. Jordan the 2026 SAG Award for Male Actor in a Leading Role.
Jordan won for portraying the film’s central dual role, Smoke and Stack Moore, in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners. The performance was recognized in the leading-actor category, placing Jordan ahead of nominees including Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, and Jesse Plemons.
Sinners also won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, giving it two film awards and making it the most decorated motion picture of the night. Jordan’s individual victory and the cast win were separate honors, although both recognized the film’s acting achievements.
The result can be confused with Jessie Buckley’s leading-actress win for Hamnet or Sean Penn’s supporting-actor win for One Battle After Another. Those awards belonged to different categories and performances.
