The 2026 SAG Awards were the 32nd annual ceremony. SAG-AFTRA presented the event under the newer name Actor Awards.
The ceremony followed the 31st annual event held in 2025. Although the branding changed, the 2026 show remained part of the same continuous awards tradition that began with the first Screen Actors Guild Awards in 1995.
The annual number is not the same as the number of award categories. The 32nd designation identifies the edition of the ceremony, while the program included a separate set of film, television, and stunt awards. This distinction helps prevent confusion between the event’s ordinal number and the number of trophies presented.
