Jessie Buckley represented Hamnet when she won Female Actor in a Leading Role at the 2026 SAG Awards.
Hamnet is a historical drama directed by Chloé Zhao and based on Maggie O’Farrell’s novel of the same name. Buckley plays Agnes Shakespeare, the wife of William Shakespeare, in a story focused on family, love, and grief in sixteenth-century England.
Buckley’s SAG victory was for a leading performance, making Hamnet the film attached to that individual award. It should not be confused with Sinners, which won the cast prize and supplied Michael B. Jordan’s male lead winner.
