J.R.R. Tolkien’s fictional language also known as High-elven is Quenya.
Quenya is one of the major languages of the Elves in Tolkien’s mythology. It is associated especially with the High Elves, including the Ñoldor and Vanyar, and draws inspiration from the sound and structure of languages such as Finnish, Latin, and Greek.
In the history of Middle-earth, Quenya developed from an earlier language called Common Eldarin. After the return of the Ñoldor to Middle-earth, Quenya became less commonly spoken in everyday life there, while Sindarin became the main Elvish language of many communities.
Quenya is often confused with Sindarin because both are prominent Elvish languages in Tolkien’s writings. Tolkien constructed both in considerable detail, but they have different histories and linguistic relationships. Quenya appears in names, songs, ceremonial speech, and phrases connected with Elven history.
