Abstergo Industries is the main modern-day Templar organization in Assassin's Creed.

Abstergo presents itself publicly as a powerful multinational corporation, but its leadership is closely tied to the Templar Order. The company uses technology such as the Animus to investigate genetic memories, locate powerful artifacts, and influence political and social systems.

In the early games, Abstergo executive Warren Vidic oversees research involving Desmond Miles. The corporation's activities connect the historical Assassin-versus-Templar conflict to the contemporary world and give the modern sections a continuing antagonist.

Abstergo is fictional, although the series portrays it as a global company with recognizable business divisions and consumer products. It should not be confused with the Order of Ancients, an earlier historical Templar precursor shown in Assassin's Creed Origins, or with the modern Assassin organization that opposes it.
