Soulkiller is a powerful technology associated with the Arasaka corporation and the netrunner Alt Cunningham. It can copy a person’s mind into digital form, producing an engram while potentially killing the original biological body.
The technology is central to the history of Johnny Silverhand, Alt Cunningham, and the Relic. In Cyberpunk 2077, the Relic uses related engram technology to store and reproduce a personality, but Soulkiller and the Relic are not simply the same device.
Militech is another major corporation and a longtime rival of Arasaka. Its military focus can lead to confusion, but the Soulkiller program is specifically tied to Arasaka’s corporate power and research.
