Which female investor joined Dragons' Den in 2013 after founding the homeware brand Kelly Hoppen Interiors?

The story behind the answer

Kelly Hoppen joined Dragons' Den in 2013 after founding Kelly Hoppen Interiors.

Hoppen is a British interior designer whose work became associated with a restrained, contemporary style using neutral colours, clean lines and strong geometric forms. She established her design business as a teenager and later developed products, books and licensing projects alongside interior commissions.

She joined the Dragons' Den panel for series 11, replacing Hilary Devey, and remained for two series. Her television investment career therefore came after a long design career rather than from conventional finance. Viewers sometimes confuse her with Deborah Meaden because both are female Dragons, but Hoppen's defining business background is interior design.
