Which F1 team won its first Constructors' Championship in 2010?
Answer
Red Bull Racing
Answer
Red Bull Racing
Red Bull Racing won its first Formula One Constructors’ Championship in 2010.
The team secured the title at the Brazilian Grand Prix, one race before the season finale. Red Bull’s drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber finished first and second at Interlagos, giving the team enough points to clinch the championship ahead of Ferrari and McLaren.
Red Bull had entered Formula One in 2005 after purchasing the Jaguar team. Its first victories came in 2009, when the team emerged as a serious challenger with Vettel and Webber. The 2010 campaign marked the breakthrough: Red Bull won nine races and took the Constructors’ title despite Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso leading the Drivers’ standings before the final round.
Vettel then won the Drivers’ Championship at Abu Dhabi, becoming the youngest champion at the time. Red Bull went on to defend its Constructors’ crown from 2011 through 2013.
