Peter Jones was the only original British Dragons' Den investor to appear continuously from the 2005 launch.
The original panel included Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard. Several of those investors later left the programme, while Jones remained a constant presence across the British series.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and businessman whose interests have included technology, media, leisure and property. His role on the show made him one of its most recognisable investors, particularly because he appeared alongside successive generations of dragons.
The word “original” matters here: later investors were not part of the launch panel, and some early dragons returned for occasional appearances or specials. Continuity therefore refers to regular presence from the beginning, not simply to having invested in the programme at some point.
