Levi Roots was the entrepreneur behind Reggae Reggae Sauce when it was pitched on Dragon's Den.
Roots presented the product on the BBC programme in 2007. He combined his identity as a reggae musician with a food business built around a Jamaican-style sauce, giving the pitch a memorable personal story as well as a commercial proposition.
The appearance led to a televised investment from Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh. The resulting publicity helped the sauce move from a small-scale product into a widely recognised retail brand. Roots subsequently became closely associated with Caribbean food and entrepreneurship in British popular culture.
The answer is the founder and presenter, not either of the Dragons who invested. Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh are plausible alternatives because they were involved in the deal. The programme also featured many food entrepreneurs, but Reggae Reggae Sauce specifically belongs to Roots' business story.
