Rob Law pitched the invention Trunki on the British programme Dragon's Den.
Law designed Trunki, a ride-on children's suitcase intended to make travelling easier for young children. He presented the product on Dragon's Den, where the pitch became notable because he did not secure an investment from the Dragons.
Despite the televised rejection, Trunki went on to become a successful travel-product brand. Its case design allows children to sit on and ride the suitcase, while the product also functions as luggage for carrying belongings.
The story is often used as an example of a business succeeding after failing to obtain a deal on the programme. A television rejection is not the same as a verdict from the whole market: Law retained control and continued developing the product outside the show.
