Sara Davies joined the BBC programme Dragon's Den as an investor in 2019.
Davies is an entrepreneur from County Durham who founded Crafter's Companion in 2005. The company began after she developed a tool that made it easier to create handmade envelopes, then expanded into craft products, tools and supplies sold internationally.
Her appointment added a specialist in product development, retail and direct-to-consumer business to the panel. She was also one of the programme's younger investors when she arrived, although she was already an established company founder.
Davies is sometimes confused with newer Dragons because the panel has changed several times since her debut. Steven Bartlett joined later, in 2021, while other well-known investors, including Touker Suleyman and Deborah Meaden, were already associated with earlier series. Davies has continued to combine television work with running and promoting Crafter's Companion.
