Tej Lalvani joined Dragons' Den in 2017 after building his career in the Vitabiotics family business.
Vitabiotics is a British company that develops and sells vitamin and nutritional supplements. Lalvani became its chief executive, succeeding his father Kartar Lalvani, who founded the company.
Lalvani joined Dragons' Den for its fifteenth series. His experience differed from that of many Dragons because it combined family-business leadership with the international marketing of consumer health products.
The timing is useful for distinguishing him from Touker Suleyman, who joined in 2015, and Steven Bartlett, who joined much later. Lalvani remained part of the regular panel for several series before leaving the programme.
