Shaun Pulfrey invented the Tangle Teezer, the hairbrush rejected by every Dragon on Dragon's Den.
Pulfrey appeared on the British programme in 2007, seeking investment for his detangling hairbrush. The Dragons did not accept his offer, but the product went on to become a major commercial success.
The Tangle Teezer uses rows of flexible teeth designed to pass through knots without pulling as aggressively as a conventional brush. Its success is often cited among the show's most famous missed opportunities.
A common mix-up is confusing Pulfrey with Tom Pellereau, another entrepreneur whose successful product, the Stylfile, received investment on the programme. Pulfrey retained ownership of Tangle Teezer after the televised rejection and built the brand independently.
