Which entrepreneur created the Tangle Teezer hairbrush after Dragon's Den investors rejected his pitch?

The story behind the answer

Shaun Pulfrey created the Tangle Teezer hairbrush after Dragon's Den investors rejected his pitch.

Pulfrey, a British hair colourist, developed the Tangle Teezer as a brush designed to detangle hair while reducing pulling and breakage. He presented the product on Dragon's Den, but the dragons did not invest. The rejection did not prevent him from continuing to develop and market the invention.

The product later became a significant commercial success and was sold internationally. Its story is often cited as a reminder that a refusal on a television investment programme is not a final judgement on a business. Entrepreneurs can raise money elsewhere, improve their product or build sales without a televised deal.

Tangle Teezer is sometimes confused with Trunki, another British product associated with the programme. They are separate inventions by different entrepreneurs. Pulfrey is the person linked to the hairbrush brand and its post-programme growth.
