Rob Law created the British business that invented the Trunki children's ride-on suitcase after appearing on Dragon's Den.
Law designed Trunki as a child-friendly suitcase that children could ride while travelling. The product became one of the most recognisable examples of a British consumer product associated with the programme, even though the Dragon's Den pitch did not result in an investment deal.
That distinction is important: appearing in the den does not necessarily mean that a business received funding. Entrepreneurs can leave without a deal, yet still gain publicity, customers, and awareness. Trunki's later commercial success made the pitch particularly memorable.
The product is often confused with a conventional wheeled suitcase because it serves the same basic luggage purpose. Its defining feature is its ride-on design for children. Rob Law founded the company that developed and marketed the product, making him the central named figure in its Dragon's Den story.
