Steven Bartlett became the youngest-ever investor on the British television show Dragon's Den.
Bartlett joined the panel in 2021, at the age of 29. His appointment brought a younger technology and social-media perspective to a programme whose earlier investors had generally built careers in more traditional retail, manufacturing or property businesses.
He co-founded the social-media marketing company Social Chain with Dominic McGregor. The company grew from a digital-media venture into an international business, helping establish Bartlett as a prominent entrepreneur before his television role.
Bartlett is also known for hosting The Diary of a CEO podcast. His age at appointment is the key fact: the title refers to his age when he joined the panel, not to the age at which he founded Social Chain or appeared on television.
