Steven Bartlett became the youngest-ever dragon when he joined the British Dragons' Den panel in 2022.
Bartlett was born in Botswana in 1992 and co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency, with Dominic McGregor. He later became known for The Diary of a CEO podcast and for investing in and advising technology and consumer businesses.
He joined Dragons' Den for the twentieth series, broadcast in 2023, after being announced as a new investor in 2022. At 30 when the series aired, he was notably younger than the programme’s established panel members.
The date can cause confusion because the appointment was announced in 2022, while his first series was broadcast in 2023. The joining announcement and broadcast year are therefore different facts.
