Steven Bartlett became the youngest Dragon when he joined the British show Dragon's Den in 2021.
Bartlett joined the panel for the programme's nineteenth series. Born in 1992, he was 29 when his appointment was announced, making him the youngest person to serve as a Dragon in the British version at that time.
He co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency, with Dominic McGregor. Bartlett later became known for The Diary of a CEO podcast and for investing in and discussing technology, consumer and media businesses.
His appointment marked a generational change in the panel. Earlier Dragons were generally older, established figures from traditional business sectors, whereas Bartlett represented a digital-first entrepreneurial background. The age record applies to his position on the British Dragon's Den panel, not to every investor in every international version.
