Steven Bartlett became the youngest dragon in the history of the British TV show Dragons' Den.
Bartlett joined the programme's panel in 2021, aged 29. His appointment was widely noted because he was considerably younger than the established investors and brought experience from digital marketing, social media and online entrepreneurship.
He co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing company, and later became known to a broad audience through The Diary of a CEO podcast. Those activities helped distinguish his business profile from the retail and manufacturing backgrounds of several earlier dragons.
The record concerns the age at which an investor joined the panel, not the age of the youngest entrepreneur ever to pitch in the Den. Those are two different records and are easy to conflate.
