Which entrepreneur became a Dragons' Den investor in 2011 after James Caan left the BBC series?

The story behind the answer

Hilary Devey became a Dragons' Den investor in 2011 after James Caan left the BBC series.

Devey was a businesswoman best known for founding Pall-Ex, a palletised freight network. Her experience was especially relevant to pitches involving logistics, distribution and business-to-business services.

She joined the programme during its ninth series and appeared alongside established investors including Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Duncan Bannatyne. Her arrival followed Caan's departure from the panel.

Devey left Dragons' Den after one series to concentrate on other television and business work. She is sometimes mixed up with Kelly Hoppen, who joined the panel later, in 2013.
