Sara Davies became a Dragon on the UK programme Dragon's Den after founding Crafter's Companion.
Davies founded Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a university student. Her first product was an envelope-making tool designed to help crafters create professional envelopes for handmade cards. She developed the business from a student idea into an international craft-supplies company.
She joined Dragon's Den as a permanent investor for the seventeenth series, broadcast in 2019. Her experience covered product design, direct-to-consumer retail, television shopping and international expansion. That background made her particularly associated with practical consumer products and creative businesses.
Crafter's Companion is not a craft magazine or a single product: it is the company and brand built around tools, materials and equipment for papercraft and related hobbies. Davies was also the youngest female Dragon when she joined, a description based on her age at that appointment rather than on the age of any entrepreneur appearing on the programme.
