Which driver was the first to win a World Championship with Red Bull?
Answer
Sebastian Vettel
Answer
Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel was the first driver to win a World Championship with Red Bull Racing. He secured the 2010 Formula One Drivers’ Championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, becoming the youngest champion in F1 history at the time.
Vettel joined Red Bull’s junior team, Toro Rosso, and won the 2008 Italian Grand Prix before moving to Red Bull Racing in 2009. His breakthrough championship season came in 2010, when he won five races and finished ahead of Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber in a remarkably close title fight.
Mark Webber was Vettel’s teammate and a championship contender, but he never won the Drivers’ Championship. Daniel Ricciardo later became a Red Bull race winner, while Max Verstappen became the team’s second champion in 2021. Red Bull also won its first Constructors’ Championship in 2010, completing a historic double.
