Trunki is the child-friendly suitcase created by entrepreneur Rob Law and associated with Dragon's Den.
Law designed Trunki as a ride-on hand luggage case for children. Its shape allowed children to sit on and pull the case, giving it a distinctive appearance compared with conventional wheeled luggage. Law presented the product on Dragon's Den in 2006, but the Dragons did not invest.
Despite the rejection, Trunki became a major commercial success and won design recognition. It was developed by the company Magmatic and sold in multiple colours and versions. The product’s story is often cited as an example of an entrepreneur succeeding without accepting a Dragon’s offer.
Trunki is sometimes confused with children’s travel accessories or ordinary suitcases. Its defining feature is the ride-on design, while the brand name refers specifically to the product created by Rob Law.
