Steven Bartlett was the youngest person ever appointed to the UK Dragon's Den panel when he joined in 2022.
Bartlett is a British entrepreneur, author and podcaster who co-founded the social-media marketing agency Social Chain. The company grew from a social-media venture into an international business, giving Bartlett a technology and digital-marketing background that differed from the retail and manufacturing experience of several earlier Dragons.
He joined the BBC programme for its twentieth series, broadcast in 2023 after filming and scheduling connected with the show's 2022 panel announcement. At 30, he became the youngest Dragon in the programme's history at the time of his appointment.
His arrival was sometimes described as part of a generational change on the panel. That does not mean he was the first young investor on the programme; it specifically refers to his age compared with previous UK Dragons when he joined.
