Tej Lalvani was replaced by Steven Bartlett on the British Dragon's Den panel.
Lalvani joined the programme as an investor in 2017 and became known for his technology and consumer-business perspective. He later left the regular panel, and Steven Bartlett joined the Dragons, bringing a younger digital-business profile shaped by social media, podcasting, and entrepreneurship.
The change is easy to confuse with earlier panel departures because Dragon's Den has experienced many line-up changes since its 2005 launch. James Caan, Richard Farleigh, Theo Paphitis, and Duncan Bannatyne are among the other investors associated with different periods of the programme.
Bartlett's appointment reflected the changing kinds of businesses appearing in the den, particularly companies built around online communities, digital platforms, and modern marketing. Nevertheless, the specific predecessor was Tej Lalvani, not one of the earlier Dragons.
