Which Dragons' Den investor owns the British shirt retailer Hawes & Curtis?

The story behind the answer

Touker Suleyman owns the British shirt retailer Hawes & Curtis.

Suleyman is a British-Turkish Cypriot entrepreneur whose business interests include fashion retail. He acquired Hawes & Curtis in 2004 and developed the historic shirt brand as part of his wider retail portfolio.

Hawes & Curtis was founded in 1913 by Ralph Hawes and George Frederick Curtis. The company became known especially for formal shirts and later expanded its range of menswear and womenswear.

Suleyman’s ownership of Hawes & Curtis is separate from his role as a Dragons' Den investor. He joined the BBC programme in series 13, where his fashion, manufacturing and retail experience shaped the types of businesses with which viewers associated him.
