Steven Bartlett joined the regular BBC Dragon's Den panel in 2021 and became its youngest Dragon.
Bartlett joined the programme for its nineteenth series, which aired in 2022 after the casting announcement. Born in 1992, he was 29 when he joined, making him the youngest investor to serve on the British panel at that point.
He was already known for co-founding Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency, and for presenting The Diary of a CEO podcast. His business background therefore differed from the traditional retail and manufacturing profiles associated with some earlier Dragons.
The “youngest Dragon” description refers to age at the time of joining the British panel. It does not mean Bartlett was the youngest entrepreneur ever to pitch on the programme.
