Sara Davies joined Dragon's Den in series 17 alongside Tej Lalvani.
Davies is an entrepreneur from County Durham who founded Crafter's Companion, a craft-supplies business, while she was a student. The company developed products and tools for crafters and expanded through television shopping, online sales and international markets.
Her television appointment added a dragon with direct experience of creating a product-led company from a small idea. On the programme, that background gives her a practical perspective on product development, customer communities, branding and selling through multiple channels.
Kelly Hoppen and Jenny Campbell were also investors in the British series, but they are linked to other periods of the panel's history. Rachel Elnaugh was an early dragon. Series 17 identifies the point at which Davies entered the programme, not the year Crafter's Companion was founded.
